As Atlanta’s second largest business district, Midtown is a high density amalgamation of commercial and residential living. Midtown has the largest grouping of arts and cultural institutions in the southeast, being home to the legendary Fox Theater, the Woodruff Arts Center, the High Museum of Art, the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Museum of Design. Midtown also values its history, protecting many turn of the century buildings, including the Margaret Mitchell House and the Edward C. Peters House, both of which survived the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917. Midtown also provides outdoor adventure in spades, being the seat of Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the start of the Beltline’s Eastside Trail. In a neighborhood so bustling with activity, there’s never a shortage of things to do. Midtown hosts the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, the Atlanta Arts Festival, Atlanta Pride, Music Midtown, and Georgia Tech sports at various times throughout the year. Every day, Midtown also boasts a huge selection of restaurants, including Mary Mac’s Tea Room, Antico Pizza, and South City Kitchen, along with some of the city’s favorite bars, The Vortex, Red Phone Booth, and The Anguished Bartender to name just a few. If being in the heart of city life is what you’re after, Midtown is the destination for you!
