Poncey-Highland
Poncey-Highland is a popular intown neighborhood on the eastside of Atlanta, sandwiched between Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Candler Park, and Virginia Highland. Poncey-Highland is home to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and the Carter Center. It’s also a neighborhood full of historic buildings, including the Ford Motor Co Assembly Plant, Western Electric Co, Briarcliff Plaza, and Hotel Clermont, in addition to all its charming 1920’s cottages. Poncey-Highland is full of opportunities for retro-style entertainment, too. Check out the Plaza Theatre for old movies and film events, the Clermont Lounge, a landmark stripclub, The Wax Attic for vinyl record aficionados, and 10 High for great karaoke. Freedom Park offers a wealth of trails and funky art installations to nature lovers, along with the Beltline’s Eastside Trail.
