Inman Park, located on the eastside of the city, was Atlanta’s first planned suburb. Poncey-Highland is a popular intown neighborhood on the eastside of Atlanta, sandwiched between Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Candler Park, and Virginia Highland. Poncey-Highland is home to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and the Carter Center. It’s also a neighborhood full of historic buildings, including the Ford Motor Co Assembly Plant, Western Electric Co, Briarcliff Plaza, and Hotel Clermont, in addition to all its charming 1920’s cottages.
